Serving as a student-facing member of the Division of Student Affairs, the work of the Area Coordinator (AC) is structured to support the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Priorities of the university. Employed by the Department of Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL), the AC is a full-time, 12-month live-in professional staff member.
The AC is supervised by the Associate Director of Residence Life but also receives direction and support from the Assistant Director of Residence Life. AC’s at Cal State East Bay are expected to initiate “high-touch” front-line interaction with students as they develop formal and informal relationships. They are expected to build communities that focus on student learning and development, supporting students' need, and inclusivity for all students. AC’s provide direct oversight for their designated residential area and provide lead work direction to a student staff team. This position does not conform to a standard 9-5 work day and requires the individual to work evenings and weekends to best meet the needs of the community. |

UEC Payroll processes semi-monthly payroll for all auxiliary organizations (UEC, Student Union, ASI, Foundation) on the CSUSB campus for approximately 700-800 paychecks per period. |
Buyer II - (Buyer II) - Procurement

Reporting to the Director of Procurement and under the general direction of more senior buyers, the Buyer II position involves responsibility for routine procurement activity for which there are generally well-defined instructions, models, and precedents. Typical assignments involve procurement of basic supplies, equipment and services. Duties may include some clerical tasks, but most of the responsibility is of a technical nature related to purchasing and/or expediting purchases to ensure goods/services are properly received within the required timeframe. Delegated procurement authority is limited and clearly defined. The Buyer II may research and confirm pricing based on telephone quotes or informal written proposals, place orders, input electronic purchasing data, and process other purchasing documentation, review transactions and documentation for compliance with policy. Assist and provide information to others regarding the procurement process. Purchasing of commodities of a technical and specialized nature and/or developing ordinary contracts, service agreements, or leases. Items or services purchased may range from those acquired directly from the vendor/contractor with little or no modification to unique, scarce or custom-made items requiring creative development of original specifications, with minimal supervision or assistance. Resolution of conflicts between providers and end-users is an integral part of this position. The Buyer II may be assigned lead responsibility for lower level purchasing or clerical staff in carrying out assignments. |

Under the general direction of the Staff HR Investigation Manager, the incumbent serves as the primary coordinator for the campus-wide conflict resolution and workplace violence prevention programs, handling the initial day to day triage, logging & tracking in the campus system of record, and forwarding of concerns to the appropriate campus office for handling, of conflict resolution and workplace violence submissions by CSULB students, faculty and staff/MPPs. This position will provide support to the Staff HR Investigation Manager in the management of staff/MPP conflict resolution and workplace violence concerns, along with relevant learning and development activities related to the campus programs. In addition, the incumbent will serve as the primary coordinator for the campus business process related to approval for official employment references being provided on behalf of CSULB for current or former employee's seeking employment outside of the CSU. |
