- Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Career Services.
- Position available on or after December 4, 2025 and ending on or before May 22, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with front desk coverage including, but not limited to greeting and assisting all guests,checking main line voicemail and forwarding messages as necessary, checking students in for appointments and sending evaluations.
- Consistently review website for necessary edits and recommend changes.
- Familiarize self with all center resources and services in order to better assist students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist students and employers with matters involving their HireStanState account, registering for workshops and events and utilizing our center and online resources.
- Ensure all Career Ready U employers are entered into HireStanState and promote CareerReadyU initiatives.
- Assist with responding to emails and social media inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist with preparing materials for upcoming workshops and/or marketing events.
- Support students with the Warrior Wardrobe Career Closet visits and professional headshots booth
- Support outreach by representing the Career & Professional Development Center/CareerReadyU by hosting an info table in the Quad weekly
- Promote various services through social media platforms following marketing plan.
- If schedule allows, participate in center events via Zoom and attend sessions to provide feedback on content and development of workshops.
- Duties will take place in person as long as guidelines allow in-person delivery of services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Some familiarity with social media platforms
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Suite or Google Suite platforms for work related projects
- Some prior customer service experience/exposure, whether through work, class projects, leadership, community engagement, athletics, etc. Highlight it in your resume if you have some experience working with others.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
