    • Position Summary
    • One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in McNair TRIO Grant.

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after October 1, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist in the preparation of McNair applications, information sessions, orientation, and graduate visits.
      • Handle receptionist responsibilities, including responding to inquiries, conveying information, and warmly welcoming visitors.
      • Provide general clerical support to the Administrative Support Coordinator.
      • Support recruiting efforts through outreach via telephone, email, and in-person engagement at occasional campus events.
      • Oversee facility operations, ensuring adherence to facility guidelines.
      • Assist with light office cleaning, filing, and organizational tasks.
      • Run errands on campus as needed.
      • Collaborate in coordinating student participation in various activities.
      • Contribute to special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications













    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, utilizing search engines.
      • Demonstrates previous office experience.
      • Demonstrates prior experience working within a confidential environment.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
