    • Position Summary
    • Four temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions available in Education Opportunity Program.  

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after June 5, 2020 and ending on or before August 31, 2020. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    •  Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Live in the Residence Halls for the duration of the Summer Bridge Program (June 7th-11th).
      • Serve as a leader for incoming First Year EOP students, and provide guidance and support to Summer Bridge Program participants.
      • Be responsible for leading daily assigned activities with the Summer Bridge Participants.
      • Build a positive, safe, and inclusive community in the Residence Halls, and campus-wide.
      • Work in a team atmosphere with other SBP Resident Assistants, and EOP Peer Mentors.
      • Participate in a one-day training on June 5th, and training's and activities as directed through the duration of the Summer Bridge Program.
      • Abide by and enforce all program and University policies and procedures.
      • Assist with completion of and submit Incident Report Forms as needed.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • It is preferred but not required that the incumbent be a current EOP student.
      • It is preferred but not required that the incumbent be a current or past EOP Peer Mentor.
      • It is preferred but not required that the incumbent be a past Summer Bridge participant.
      • Must be a current student with at least 40 completed units.
      • Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
      • Must be able to attend Summer Bridge Program training June 5th.
      • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. 
      • Must be mature, reliable, and display good interpersonal skills.
      • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
      • Demonstrates flexibility and ability to take direction well.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
    • Salary Range
    • $13.00 per hour.
