Under the general direction of the Senior Director- Maintenance and Operations and in collaboration within the Department and with colleagues across the campus, the Associate Director, Architectural and Automotive Trades is responsible for leadership, management, and supervisory oversight of several trades shops including the Carpenter Shop, Facility Worker Shop, Paint Shop, Lock Shop, and Auto Shop. In this role, the incumbent is responsible for all maintenance and repair services and functions of each shop. This includes management of personnel management for all Shop staff.

Key responsibilities include managing front-desk operations, providing accurate program information, coordinating meeting schedules, performing administrative tasks, overseeing student assistants, leading social media campaigns, collecting/co-managing student assistant time sheets, and supporting various office functions as needed. This role is instrumental in assisting incoming newly admitted and current students, along with their families, by connecting them to resources and programs that facilitate a smooth and engaging transition to campus life.
