Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Senior Enrollment Management Systems Analyst – Solano Campus is a blend of Financial Aid (FA) and EM, administrative knowledge, functional expertise in student administration software, and business process development. The incumbent is responsible for leadership in EM systems, especially FA, including the completion of all tasks, projects, and administrative mandates necessary to achieve department, unit and University goals while providing support for the strategic system needs of the FA department and EM unit.

This is a Part-Time temporary position and is not benefit eligible.

Department Summary

The Financial Aid Office is responsible for the determination of eligibility for and awarding of federal, state, institutional and private grants, scholarships, and work and loan programs in excess of $205M annually to over 13,500 eligible students. The office is responsible for adhering to the regulatory requirements as outlined in federal and state regulations as well as donor and institutional policies and for assuring compliance by the University. The Financial Aid Office serves the University by assisting students in obtaining financial aid and scholarships to attend Cal Poly. The Office's primary function is to provide appropriate financial aid based on federal and state parameters and in keeping with CSU and Cal Poly institutional policies.

Key Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL writing and querying skills applied to relational databases
  • Skill in data analysis, business process analysis, and systems needs assessment
  • Skill in developing and executing test cases for system modifications, patches, and annual vendor upgrades
  • Skill in translating complex data and requirements into visual workflow models for diverse stakeholder audiences
  • Skill in producing reports, queries, and visualizations using PeopleSoft Query Manager and related reporting tools

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university and five years of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.  

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $44.00 - $53.64 Per Hour

Classification Range: $36.82 - $53.64 Per Hour

The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
