Job/Department Summary:

Working independently, under general direction of the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services, Annual and Planned Giving, the Analyst/Programmer oversees the complete software development process from conception to deployment as a full-stack developer. his will include analysis, design, development, integration, testing, documentation and supports systems and technology-based solutions to meet the users’ needs including web applications, associated databases, and related enterprise systems. These systems, complex software processes, and reports execute independently and/or as part of a larger, mission-critical, information system. Oracle databases are utilized and Authentication/Authorization can vary depending upon program and end-user requirements (designs have utilized Active Directory, LDAP, CAS, Shibboleth, as well as Database Role Providers). Oracle Apex is used for application development with many applications in production. The incumbent will utilize several different languages and tool-sets. The primary tool-set utilized for web application development is Microsoft Visual Studio with a Model-View-Controller (MVC) software pattern in the programming language of C# (C-Sharp). The incumbent will also provide on-going technical support to end users and colleagues. Incumbents at the expert level work almost completely independently on the most complex problems and work assignments.
Advancement Services and Annual Fund is responsible for coordinating and helping the University Advancement Division regarding technology, resources, and services to support learning, research, and general business operations of the university. Advancement Services and Annual Fund will help with any data reporting, application development, vendor 3rd party maintenance and integrations between applications within the Division.

Required Education and Experience:

The qualifications listed above would normally be obtained by a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems educational technology, communications or job-related field or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study.
AND
Three years of full-time job-related experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of job-related experience and education providing the advanced and comprehensive knowledge of the required technical specialty.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business information systems, or related discipline. 
  • MS Web Applications certifications
  • Experience with Oracle APEX
  • Experience with .NET
  • Demonstrated ability and success in recognizing user needs, anticipating outcomes, and making the necessary modifications to achieve desired results.

Time Base: Part-time (.50)

CSU Classification Salary Range: (.50) $44,226 - $85,644 per year  (FTE $88,452 - $171,288 per yr)
