Job Department Summary:

Working independently, under general instruction, the Administrative Support Assistant provides administrative support to the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program, Program Director, Clinic Director, Assistant Clinic Director, Internship Coordinator, Administrative Support Coordinator (ASC), program faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students in the Clinic for Communication Disorders office. This position provides reception support, leads student employees, maintains program and clinic records, oversees and maintains program websites, prepares and maintains forms and publications, coordinates program events and meetings, maintains clinic materials, records, and supplies, and interacts with clinic clients.

Required Education and Experience:

This position requires experience to be proficient in performing most or all work assignments and should include administrative support, coordinating and prioritizing many different clerical tasks, applying and communicating policies and procedures.  These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program or its equivalent and two years recent experience in an office environment. 

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • Experience using Chico State systems, databases and software
  • Two years’ experience in an office or retail environment
  • Experience working with a diverse population
  • Experience coordinating meetings, schedules, or events
  • Familiarity with confidential or private data

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 10/12 (June & July off)

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30. 

CSU Classification Salary Range:  $36,804 - $54,168 per year.
