University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefitted through 12/31/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $4,200.00-$5,134.00 per month

Location: CSRI San Bernardino 

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. 8:45am-5:15pm, Monday-Friday (with some evenings and Saturdays required).

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Associate Director of Administration, the Administrative Support Coordinator will work independently to:

  • Provide general clerical support to CSRI analysts and directors, conducting background research, document preparation, and
    archive management.
  • Assist with data reporting in software required by the project’s funder.
  • Perform reception duties at the administrative office, as well as filing, answering telephones, and general upkeep of the office.
  • Assist with the scheduling for CSRI’s administrative division, helping with meeting coordination, planning and preparation,
    and execution. Be responsible for event planning for special events. Coordinate other staff in planning, purchasing, and execution of events as needed.
  • Assist with inventory management, keeping track of supplies needed and coordinating the purchase of those supplies.
  • Travel to UEC and/or other CSRI sites on a weekly basis using personal means of transportation (with mileage reimbursement
    provided after the fact).
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, providing information and responding and directing calls and inquiries in
    a timely manner.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to all.
  • Travel locally (and occasionally regionally) as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Option 1: Bachelors Degree AND Two years’ experience working in a similar position.
    • Option 2: High School Diploma AND Four years’ experience working in a similar position
  • Other:
    • Self-starter, excellent oral and written communication, maintain cooperative working relationships and work with diverse groups, and handle confidential and sensitive information.
    • Must have a strong record of customer service, as this employee will relate internally to staff and externally to stakeholders of various kinds.
    • Applicants must possess a working knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to write clear and concise reports and express ideas and recommendations orally.
    • Proficiency in using standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual written and spoken Spanish strongly preferred
