- Temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study student assistant position available in Strategic Communications and Marketing.
- Position available on or after August 24, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed or working toward a college degree in a related field (e.g., creative media, English, art, marketing, communication studies, public relations or leadership, etc.)
- Previous experience or desire to learn photography and/or videography
- Previous experience or desire to learn about marketing, event promotion and/or content creation
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is preferred
- Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired
- Knowledge of HTML and graphic design highly desired
- An effective communicator, both written and oral
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with media and community contacts, including current and potential donors
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted a Work Study Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
