Job Summary

The Radiology Supervisor oversees all aspect of SHS Radiology services, including regulatory oversight of all licensed radiologic technologist(s) performing diagnostic imaging services, as defined by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Safety Branch.

The Radiology supervisor ensures appropriate application of equipment used in diagnostic imaging and ensures compliance with all California Department of Public Health (CDPH) standards.  In addition, the position contributes to an inclusive and supportive residential environment by delivering equitable, culturally responsive, and student-centered services that enhance the quality of campus life and support student retention and graduation, consistent with the division’s commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees operations of radiology services, ensures adherence to productivity and quality standards, as well as AAAHC and CDPH standards, internal policy and external regulations. Supervises licensed technologists providing diagnostic and patient care services. Reviews diagnostic imaging results as needed to ensure appropriate application of equipment and imaging systems.

 This is a temporary hourly/intermittent position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

The salary range for this classification is $81.21 to $137.92 per hour.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from a medical school and completion of a residency training program in a primary care field such as family medicine, general internal medicine, gynecology, general pediatrics, emergency medicine, preventive medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or equivalent


Licenses / Certificates

• A valid State of California license to practice medicine

• A valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration and number for prescribing controlled substances.

• Current American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification appropriate for the assigned duties.

• Current California Radiology Supervisor and Operator certification. Minimum 1 year prior experience as a Radiology Supervisor preferred.

• Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator (CPR/AED) certification as appropriate for the assigned duti
