Major Duties
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Facilities and Operations, this position is responsible for leading all aspects of the administrative functions for the campus's meal plan program and serves as the primary point of contact for all campus departments, dining outlets & vendors regarding the meal plan program. As the primary point of contact for students & parents, this position may give presentations to parents of incoming students, sign up new participants each semester, and coordinate in-person sales in the Meal Plan Office. This position will formulate and implement all meal plan policies and operating practices. As the supervisor in the meal plan office, this position will manage all aspects of the office and be the direct supervisor for the Commercial Services Admin Assistant and the Meal Plan Student Assistant, and will interview, select and train those positions as needed. This position will act as a bridge and liaison between Housing, Chartwells, and external clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Will recommend opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to streamline processes in the department and will make recommendations in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field. Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for required education, on a year for year basis. Equivalent to two years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Working knowledge of general practices, programs, and/or administrative specialties. Ability and specialized skills to: Communicate and interact with a diverse population; deal effectively with students, parents and staff; organize, coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks; Interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures; work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions; work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with little supervision; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; independently prepare and draft clear and concise final form of memoranda and correspondence; keep moderately complex records and files; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others; perform basic research and statistical analysis; analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistics; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
Anticipated hiring range: $69,888-70,304 annually
Time Base: Full-Time
