- Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position for Mail Services in the MSR building.
- Position available on or after January 28, 2025 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with sorting, pick-up and delivering mail and incoming parcels
- Assist with processing mail on electronic metered postage mail machine
- Assist with data entry for billing into Mail Services Database
- Assist with bulk mail, presorting mail
- Assist with running folding/inserting machine
- Assist with running tabbing/addressing machine
- Assist at Customer Service Counter selling postage, processing personal packages
- Assist with processing UPS Overnight, 2nd day and ground packages
- Assist with processing department quotes for presorting, inserting, folding
- Assist with pick up, storage and retrieval of Record Boxes
- Assist with Print Shop as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates good customer service skills and verbal communication.
- Demonstrates the capability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrates basic computer skills on both PC and Mac.
Required Qualifications:
- Possesses a valid California Driver’s License.
- Required to lift up to 50lbs.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
