    • Position Summary
    • Two temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant positions in Student Leadership, Engagement & Belonging.

    • Start Date
    • Position(s) available on or after September 16, 2024 and ending on or before May 31, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • General Clerical duties; data entry, filing, making copies, mail pick up, answering the phones efficiently and routing inquiries to the appropriate person.
      • Provide excellent customer service to department.
      • Greet and assist visitors, direct visitors to appropriate campus resources as needed.
      • Assist with Phone and Email Correspondance: communicate via teams and email with department leads.
      • Assist with storage room organization.
      • Assist marketing team and program coordinators with creation of Event flyers, buttons, and other marketing supplies needed for events/activities.
      • Assist with department inventory, data gathering, reconciliations and reporting; assist with material checkout, receiving documentation, archive, and department organization.
      • Assist with the event setup of internal reservations, special events and activities. Help post up interior and exterior signage for events, which include A-frames/sandwich boards.
      • Assist administrative support coordinator with event check ins, event logistics, setup and take down.
      • Assist program coordinators with collection of data to assist with research.
      • Support with outreach activities such as tabling, pop-ups, office tours, small presentations to visitors.
      • Other duties as assigned.

       

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Office experience desired.
      • Demonstrate ability to follow direction and be detail oriented.
      • Knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Teams and Outlook preferred.
      • Ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.) and follow verbal and written instructions.
      • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, motivation, dependability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
      • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
      • Ability to work under pressure and answer questions with accurate information

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.00 per hour.
