    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent bridge student assistant position in the Warrior Cross Cultural Center. 

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after July 25, 2024 and ending on or before August 29, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist the Student Organizations and Fraternity/Sorority Life Coordinator in maintaining accurate and up to date records of all recognized Fraternity/Sorority organizations on the WarriorLife engagement platform.
      • Meet regularly with the Student Organizations and Fraternity/Sorority Life Coordinator.
      • Attend SLEB staff meetings as appropriate.
      • Support activities/programs at the Stockton Campus as required.
      • Assist with SLEB tabling activities and signature programs as required.
      • Participate in SLEB trainings and workshops as needed.
      • Work collaboratively with the Student Organizations and Fraternity/Sorority Life Coordinator and within the university community to create a welcoming and engaging environment that fosters student involvement.
      • Contribute to the planning and execution of all RSO and student leadership training(s).
      • Counsel students on areas of personal, professional, and organizational development.
      • Work with governing council officers on collaborative programming efforts.
      • Attend meetings and support officers of the three governing councils: Multicultural Greek Council, College Panhellenic Council, and the United Sorority and Fraternity Council.
      • Support fraternity and sorority chapter objectives, coaching individual chapter officers from all chapters.
      • Provide on-going support for Fraternity/Sorority Life based on need (possibly in the form of in-services/workshops).
      • Co-facilitate student organization Round Table discussions each semester.
      • Maintain relationships with student organization faculty and staff advisors and provide support for their roles as necessary.
      • Assist with the preparation and implementation of various events and programs throughout the year, including Greek Week, National Hazing Prevention Week, Chapter Excellence, Order of Omega, Alcohol & Social Responsibility training, Meet the Greeks, etc.
      • Actively participate on the Student Leadership, Engagement, and Belonging Team by assisting with office initiatives and programs.
      • Sit on various division and campus-wide programming committees.
      • Utilize various assessment tools to evaluate training, campus-wide programs, student experiences, and other programmatic initiatives.
      • Aid in collecting and maintaining statistics and data for planning and reporting purposes.
      • Research other colleges and universities and keep up with trends in Fraternity/Sorority Life.
      • Analyze, recommend, and implement innovative and creative ideas and solutions to provide students with an informative and memorable experience.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates enrollment in a master’s degree program in Counselor Education, Public Administration with coursework and interest in student personnel or higher education administration, or a related field.
      • Demonstrates previous student organization involvement.
      • Demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse student and administrative customer base.
      • Demonstrates the ability to work with and contribute to a team and team-based work.
      • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
      • Demonstrates excellent decision-making and time management skills.
      • Demonstrates the ability to be dependable and punctual.
      • Demonstrates the ability to function well under pressure and in a fast-paced office environment.
      • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize work, manage time and multi-task appropriately.
      • Demonstrates effective customer relations and communication skills.
      • Demonstrates an interest in mentoring, developing, and supervising students.
      • Demonstrates the willingness to work evening and weekend hours.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
    • Salary Range

    • $17.00 per hour.
