    • Position Summary
    • One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions in Career Services.

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after August 21, 203 and ending on or before May 31, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with in-person front-desk coverage.
      • Greet and assist all guests in person at Student Center.
      • Answer phones and check voicemail, forwarding messages as necessary.
      • Check students in for appointments and email students evaluations.
      • Consistently review website for necessary edits and recommend changes.
      • Familiarize self with all center resources and services in order to better assist students, faculty, and staff.
      • Assist students and employers with matters involving their HireStanState account, registering for workshops and events and utilizing our center and online resources.
      • Ensure all Career Ready U employers are entered into HireStanState and promote CareerReadyU initiatives.
      • Assist with responding to emails and social media inquiries in a timely manner.
      • Assist with preparing materials for upcoming workshops and/or marketing events.
      • Promote various services through social media platforms following marketing plan.
      • If schedule allows, participate in center events via Zoom or in person and attend sessions to provide feedback on content and development of workshops.
      • Duties will take place in person as long as guidelines allow in-person delivery of services.
      • Other duties as assigned.

    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates ability to utilize Zoom, Email/Outlook, Web Resources, Handshake platform.
      • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality, promptness, attendance and office etiquette.
      • Demonstrates excellent communications skills both orally and in writing.
      • Demonstrates ability to work under pressure and answer questions with accurate information.
      • Demonstrates friendly and courteous receptionist skills.
      • Demonstrates ability to work with external partners including employer partners.
      • Demonstrates ability to work independently with numerous interruptions.
      • Demonstrates dependability and able to follow-through on assignments.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

    • Ability to lift equipment (approximately 50 lbs)

      $15.50 per hour

      Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the annual security report (ASR), is now available for viewing at The ASR contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming.
