    • Position Summary
    • Full-time position available on or after January 3, 2023 for University Police Department.


      Under the general direction of the Lieutenant and the lead work direction of the Admin Analyst/Specialist Exempt II, the ASA II will provide support for the University Police Department's programs and projects. In collaboration with other staff, student assistants and department managers, the incumbent will fulfill the day to day operations and future planning for the Parking Management Bureau (PMB). This position is required to provide call center support, assist with logistical support and equipment inventory, compile reports, and work with client agencies. This position assists with providing direction and training to personnel completing various PMB tasks.

    • Job Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Respond to written, phone, and in-person inquiries regarding parking citations and parking permits.
      • Review, update and revise procedures and processes for customer relations and PMB systems.
      • In consultation with the Administrative Analyst, assist with disputed permit charges and maintain detail records.
      • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with information about ticket recipients and permit customers.
      • Process, screen, and file daily parking permit payments.
      • Manually enter parking permits into the PMB system.
      • Provide training to student assistants draft and maintain standard operating procedures relating to PMB.
      • Assist lead staff with the implementation for new PMB agencies.
      • Arrange, schedule and set-up meetings and travel arrangements.
      • Create, process and email promo codes to agency upon request.
      • Research, troubleshoot and identify issues with the PMB system.
      • Track, maintain and monitor inventory of PMB permits.
      • Compile, document and report statistics as necessary for agencies in parking citation and parking permit systems.
      • Establish and maintain office logistics including acquisition of supplies and other equipment.
      • Assess, formulate and evaluate technological improvements for PMB in collaboration with technical support personnel.
      • Track PMB agency proration schedules.
      • Provide general support and assistance to University Police operations.
      • Non-emergency radio communications.
      • Other duties as assigned.

    • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education: Completion of a high school program or its equivalent.

      Experience: Some experience in an office environment.
    • Preferred Qualifications

      • Ability to design, develop, and coordinate materials for publication and safety program promotion.
      • Administrative/Clerical work experience involving customer service, call center experience, familiarity with parking citation processes, DMV records and data entry.
      • Experience with DMV records management and systems coordination for parking citation and permit processing.
    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

      • Experience to be proficient in performing most or all work assignments.
      • General working knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures
      • Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
      • Ability to use standard office equipment. Typing and keyboard skills.
      • Fluency in using standard word processing and related computer software packages.
      • Ability to identify and solve standard problems and refer more complex problems to appropriate staff.
      • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
      • Ability to learn, interpret independently, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures. Able to identify deviations from applicable policies.
      • Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough and, at times, creative solutions.
      • Ability to perform standard arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data.
      • Work often involves front line contacts with a variety of campus and community individuals requiring active problem solving and effective interpersonal skills.
      • Demonstrated competence in effectively presenting standard information in writing.
      • Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions.

    • Salary Range
    • Anticipated salary will be $3,338 – $3,672 per month plus excellent paid benefits. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist. (Full Administrative Support Assistant II range: $3,338 - $4,913 per month)
