    • Position Summary
    • One temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant position in the Warrior Cross Cultural Center.  

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after October 1, 2021 and ending on or before May 31, 2022. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    •  Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Maintain all Warrior Cross Cultural Center social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, YouTube, etc.).
      • Assist in marketing for the department including Undocumented Student Services & Male Success Initiative.
      • Assist with producing engaging content to ensure social media channels are up to date, relevant and interesting for WCCC audiences.
      • Assist in content creation that is related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice.
      • Assist w/producing Instagram Live Chats/Talks/Announcements.
      • Assist with preparing weekly and monthly status reports on social media.
      • Assist in taking and sharing pictures of WCCC activities and events.
      • Assist in familiarizing self with all center resources and services in order to better assist students, faculty, and staff.
      • Assist with responding to WCCC emails and social media inquiries in a timely manner.
      • Assist with preparing promotional flyers for upcoming workshops and/or marketing events.
      • Assist in the promotion of various services through social media platforms following marketing plan.
      • Assist in maintaining scheduled office hours and assist in any additional tasks as needed within the department.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications
    •  Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication.
      • Demonstrates a strong interest in current events related to inclusion, social justice, and diversity.
      • Demonstrates working experience in Zoom, Outlook (email, calendar, etc.), and other online resources.
      • Demonstrates working experience in Adobe InDesign and/or Canva.
      • Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
      • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and well with others.
      • Demonstrates the ability to be sensitive and inclusive to a diverse population.
      • Demonstrates the willingness and capacity to be comfortable in front of a camera/voice recording.
      • Demonstrates the ability to practice professional judgement.
      • Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines and answer questions.
      • Demonstrates the ability to maintain promptness, attendance, and virtual office etiquette.
      • Demonstrates the ability to work with campus partners through communication and outreach.
      • Demonstrates the ability to be very organized with a strong attention to detail and great at multi-tasking.
      • Demonstrates working experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
      • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates previous working experience in Google Analytics and/or Hootsuite.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

    • $14.50 per hour
