    • Position Summary
    • Five (5) temporary hourly-intermittent Bridge Student Assistant positions in Academic Affairs.

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after June 11, 2021 and ending on or before August 31, 2021. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist in outreach/mentoring incoming freshmen who are not currently being supported by another university program to transition to college for fall 2021;
      • Assist in mentoring newly graduated Stanislaus County seniors in transition post-high school.
      • Hold weekly Zoom sessions for mentees.
      • Hold workshops/panel discussions on college vs. high school.
      • Assist in encouraging mentees to utilize services such as tutoring.
      • Assist in reinforcing a growth mindset for mentees.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates prior peer mentoring experience.
      • Demonstrates graphic design experience (e.g., Canva).
      • Demonstrates familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Forms).

      Required Qualifications:

      • Students must have been registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Spring units.
    • Salary Range
    • $14.00 - $15.00 per hour (depending on the qualifications of the successful finalist)
