    • Position Summary
    • Two temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions in Admissions and Outreach Services.   

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after September 7, 2020 and ending on or before May 28, 2021. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    •  Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Responsible for content creation, maintenance, and engagement in a publicly posted Stanislaus State Student Blog targeting an audience of mainly prospective students through the use of original mixed media content: written, visual (video/images), and/or audio, etc.
      • Post new content to your blog a minimum of once per week (every seven business days).
      • Develop and gain a readership by actively promoting your blog.
      • Use the blogging platform to aid the recruitment efforts of the Admissions Office by: Presenting Stanislaus State as a unique community that will appeal to future students; Answering prospective student questions about the University; Acting as a liaison for prospective students to connect with the admissions office.
      • Occasionally work on Admissions and Outreach social media promotions or projects, as assigned.

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates knowledge of social media applications.
      • Skilled in photo/video editing or multimedia (gifs, graphics).
      • Demonstrates experience with blogging platforms such as Wordpress.
      • Demonstrates experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
      • A genuine interest in sharing the Warrior experience with prospective students.
      • Must be reliable and work independently with minimal guidance.
      • Must have reliable access to the internet and provide your own hardware (desktop computer, mobile device).
      • Must have excellent communication skills with a strong grasp of written English, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, writing conventions and styles.
      • Must be tech-literate and have the ability to learn new software applications, social media platforms, and mobile apps independently.
      • Must be able to adhere to administration's guidance on content.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

    • $13.00 per hour
