    • Position Summary
    • Full time position available on or after February 3, 2020 for Extended & International Education.

      Under the supervision of the Director of Budget & Finance, this position provides support including but not limited to: budget development and monitoring; position control; payroll, operating expenditure and travel processing; financial and budgetary reporting and assisting in the development of the annual Business Plan.


       

    • Job Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Analyze, maintain, and assist in the preparation of budget transfers, journal entries, payroll, operating costs and travel for self-support programs, international education (including study abroad) and operations including but not limited to: Summer Session, Winter Intersession, Special Session Graduate and Undergraduate degree programs with multiple cohorts, and Grants.
      • Provide information to assist in the development of preliminary budgets in order to establish enrollment targets and profitability margins for all programs.
      • Process and report revenues and expenses for all programs.
      • Work with Faculty Affairs regarding faculty salaries and collective bargaining agreements related to Extended Education pay.
      • Collect data to assist in evaluating the short- and long-term fiscal needs of Extended Education.
      • Prepare regular financial status reports for all Special Session Programs.
      • Prepare Revenue Share reports at the end of each cohort and ensure that the appropriate funds are documented and transferred to the Colleges, Departments and Provost’s Office in accordance with established policies, procedures, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and/or as directed.
      • Prepare transfers for Professional Development, grant matching and any other funding as required.
      • Compile data to include in the annual business plan by collecting all necessary financial data from all revenue and expense sources including, but not limited to: Summer Session, Winter Session, Special Session Graduate and Undergraduate degree programs with multiple cohorts, International Education, the American Language and Cultural Program and Grants.
      • Other duties assigned in order to advance the mission of CSU Stanislaus and the Office of Extended and International Education.

       

    • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education:  Equivalent to a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, business administration, finance or a closely related field OR a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

      Experience:  Two years of progressively responsible professional experience in analyzing data including one year involving duties such as preparation, justification and analysis or the control and administration of a budget or budgetary process.

    • Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with Access, Excel and Outlook.
    • Required Qualifications

      • General knowledge of financial, budgetary and accounting principles and practices.
      • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of public finance, administrative, personnel fiscal management and cash-flow management.
      • Working knowledge of research techniques and statistical principles and procedures.
      • Advanced proficiency with current word processing and spreadsheet software program, web browsers, query tools, integrated financial systems and/or other types of records management systems.
      • Familiarity with the principles of position control and budgetary alignment.
      • Ability to define problem areas, collect data, perform preliminary analyses and make appropriate recommendations.
      • Ability to write clear and concise analytical comments.
    • Salary Range
    • $3,832 - $7,394 per month plus excellent paid benefits.  (Anticipated salary will be $3,832 – $4,790 per month, depending on the qualifications of the successful finalist.)
