Lecturer Pool - School of Education Supervisor AY 2026/27 San Marcos
The School of Education at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool ad will only be good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 30th.

The Caseworker serves as a primary point of contact providing direct support and case management services to individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the community to help them navigate personal, social, and system goals and challenges. This role involves assessing client needs, developing individualized plans, and coordinating with various services and community resources to ensure clients receive appropriate assistance addressing barriers to successful reentry, such as housing, employment, and access to social services.

The Department of American Indian Studies at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach AIS 125: American Indian Film. The course explores decolonization of media and narrative forms, with a focus on film, television, and writing within American Indian and Indigenous contexts. Engages with and analyzes how Native American and Indigenous filmmakers reclaim and reshape their narratives through visual sovereignty. Aims to dismantle colonial viewpoints and promote an understanding of Indigenous self-determination and representation in media through a variety of filmic genres and media platforms.
