| Hayward Promise Neighborhoods at Cal State east Bay is hiring a College & Career Specialist. The College & Career Program Specialist at Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) supports the execution and enhancement of internship programs aimed at fostering college and career readiness among students at Cal State East Bay, partner K-12 schools and community colleges. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the internship programs including recruiting, hiring, orienting, and overseeing interns from the Promise Interns, College Corps, and service-learning streams, ensuring compliance with all educational and partner agency requirements.
The Coordinator will collaborate closely with university leadership, faculty, and external partners to develop professional development opportunities and coordinate events that engage and retain students in the internship programs. Additionally, this position requires the implementation of risk management policies and procedures, the development of performance metrics for program evaluation, and the preparation of compliance and performance reports to meet grant-funded objectives set forth by the Department of Education and institutional policies. |
