| Working under general direction from the Sr. Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of New Student and Family Programs is charged with the planning, implementation, leadership and oversight of the mandatory SJSU new student orientation program for approximately 9,000 incoming first-time, first-year and transfer students, and the SJSU Parent & Family Orientation, which introduces incoming students and their parent(s) and family members to the university community and its resources, policies, and procedures in approximately 20 orientation sessions held during the summer and three orientation sessions in December. |
