The Department of Political Science seeks one or more part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for teaching appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2025 and/or Spring Semester 2026. The department offers a range of lower- and upper-division courses for: majors pursuing the B.A. in Political Science (with three concentrations - Pre-Law, Public Affairs and Administration, and Traditional); and for non-majors who seek to fulfill General Education requirements. |

This is a part-time lecturer position in the Department of Criminal Justice (CRJ) for AY 25-26. Lecturer faculty teach lower-division and upper-division courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online platforms. Courses are offered at the Hayward campus, online, and at local high school and community college locations. The CRJ program curricula focuses on key areas of the criminal justice system, including The CRJ program curriculum focuses on key areas of the criminal justice system, including crime prevention, corrections, community-based programs, impact of crime, forensic science, victimization, and policing. Minimum requirements are M.A./M.S. in a related field with teaching experience at the university level as well as professional experience. A Ph.D. in a related field is preferred. |
