Catalog Editor/Curriculum Analyst

| Under the direction of the Curriculum Initiatives Project Coordinator with supervision from Associate Dean of Curriculum and Catalog Services, this position serves as a Catalog Editor and Curriculum Analyst responsible for the analysis, coordination, and implementation of curriculum and catalog changes. The incumbent applies specialized knowledge of university, CSU systemwide, and catalog policies governing catalog content, courses, and academic programs, including Academic Senate policy, and Chancellor's Office guidance. Duties include analysis of curricular requests submitted by the colleges and of changes, including identification and assessment of impact on content areas other than those being changed, and the coordination of the revision process of the catalog by communicating with the area administrators and directors and as needed, the Chancellor’s Office. This position conducts investigations and analyses of courses within the institutions; problem-solving and entry of coding into PeopleSoft and on the Cascade web server, as well as serving as a technical administrator of the Acalog and Curriculog catalog and curriculum management system. This position will provide specialized coordination and administrative support for the Lead Curriculum Services Analyst in Academic Programs and Services as well as the analysis, coordination, and assistance with a variety of complex curricular projects from planning through initiation and execution stages, requiring interpretation of policies and procedures as well as problem solving skills. In addition, the Curriculum Analyst provides technical guidance and training to faculty and staff regarding curriculum and catalog processes, assists with complex curricular initiatives and special projects, and supports the planning, implementation, and publication of the university catalog in accordance with institutional and systemwide policies. |
