JOB SUMMARY

The School of Entrepreneurship is seeking battle tested entrepreneurial leaders to help mentor and grow the next generation of entrepreneurs for the Inland Empire! We are looking for highly motivated and driven entrepreneurs and business professionals that have a strong desire to share their knowledge and experience, and are interested in teaching, mentoring and coaching students studying Entrepreneurship in Cal State San Bernardino’s globally ranked program (#38 in the World, 2025 The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine Rankings). The primary responsibility of part-time lecturers is to deliver a high quality, engaging course in the undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the School of Entrepreneurship.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a graduate degree from an accredited institution in the business field. An MBA or comparable is preferred, although we can accept degrees from other fields depending on the level and type of prior business experience.
  • Must have substantive professional experience. We require a minimum of five (5) years of exempt status in the business field. We specifically look for people that have started, owned and operated a successful business for at least five (5) years or have significant experience working with and supporting entrepreneurs through activities such as consulting, angel and venture capital investment, and business banking.
  • Are engaged in on an ongoing basis in one or more professional activities such as:
    1. Consulting activities that are material in terms of time and substance
    2. Significant participation in business professional associations and societies
    3. Relevant and active service on boards of directors (non-profit or for-profit)
    4. Development and presentation of executive education programs
    5. Documented continuing professional education experiences
    6. Professional presentations
    7. Participation in professional events that focus on the practice of entrepreneurship
    8. Participation in other activities that place faculty in direct contact with business
    9. Other substantial professional or service work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior teaching experience. Evidence of exemplary prior teaching experience at the university or community college level, particularly experience with diverse populations and first-generation students.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Lecturer A                           (Range 2) - $5,507 – $6,677

Lecturer B                           (Range 3) - $6,221 – $13,224

Lecturer C                           (Range 4) - $6,825 – $14,523

Lecturer D                           (Range 5) - $8,593 – $15,211
