Working independently, this role is dedicated to providing exceptional medical care to both student-athletes and visiting athletic teams, focusing on the care, prevention, and rehabilitation of injuries with a commitment to inclusivity, respecting all individuals regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender. Emphasis is placed on injury prevention through methods such as taping, use of protective equipment, and flexibility training. Additionally, this position cultivates a professional clinical environment that actively supports Long Beach State students pursuing careers in athletic training. The role includes assisting with program development initiatives, providing mentorship, and ensuring continuity of leadership and operational standards, particularly when the Head Athletic Trainer is unavailable. |
